With increasing global competition, manufacturers are striving to achieve new levels of efficiency, innovation, and
competitiveness. It is equally important for them to respond fast to the ever-changing market, and be well-equipped to anticipate any changes in demands in the near future. For any category of the manufacturing industry, be it precision engineering, plastic moulding, food manufacturing, etc, it is the aim of every firm to achieve an optimal level of efficiency, with highest value added to the products.

TaskHub Lean Manufacturing Suite is a flexible software solution which has a build-in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with lean manufacturing as its key focus. Being the principle developer of TaskHub Manufacturing Suite, our objective is to conform to individual company’s way of operations but with control features to further improve business processes.

Traditional TaskHub Lean Manufacturing Software Solution Suite includes:

  • Sales module which is directly linked to MES software solution(Sales contract, Sales quotation, Sales order)

  • Procurement module which is directly linked to MES(Purchase requisition, Purchase contract, Purchase order)

  • Inventory module (Single and Multi-level BOM)

  • Logistics module (GRN, DO)

  • Financial module (AP, AR, GL, Bank Book, Fixed assets)

  • MES (Production planning, Material Requirement Planning MRP, Machine capacity planning, Process Routing)

Below are the highlights of TaskHub Lean Manufacturing Suite:

Maintenance of Inventory BOM and Process Routes

  • Unlimited BOM formulae could be maintained for a finished good.

  • Production stages could be set up, in which the lead time, quantity to produce, buffer quantity, and work centre code are defined for each stage.

  • Better allocation of resources which allows raw material/overheads for each stage to be defined, thus, standard manufacturing costs could be automatically calculated by system.

  • Variance report (Standard vs actual manufacturing costs) could be generated.

  • Attachments (eg: drawings, costing sheets, etc) could be placed into the e-repository.

Sales

Sales Contract

  • Monitors any outstanding quantity to be delivered to customers based on contract amount.

Sales Order

  • Directly linked to production planning, hence leaner production.
  • System will auto-suggest the required shipment date based on purchase and process lead time.

  • Quantity to produce/purchase will also be suggested by system based on quantity on hand and safety stock level.

MES (Manufacturing Execution System to better manage your shopfloor)

Production Planning

  • System keeps track of any outstanding quantity to be produced.

Work Order

  •  Production vouchers will only be released for job orders to run if MRP and Machine Capacity Planning are complete.

In our system, you could also look into setting a timeframe (Eg: 4 weeks from current date) which your delivery date has to fall within such that for production orders which are out of the time period will not be released unless approved by management.

Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • TaskHub MES will suggest the quantity to purchase based on the BOM formula.

  • Purchase Requisition of materials will be automaticall generated , hence preventing any over purchase of inventory which could lead to over stocking.

Machine Capacity Planning

  • Flexible production scheduling.

  • Calendar view of the availability/downtime of production machines.

  • Automatic production scheduling via allocation of job orders based on minimum and maximum loading capacity of machines.

Process Routing

  • Better job tracking.

  • Once a job is started or completed, users could capture the start/end date as well as the actual quantity used and produced.

  • Defects could be captured as well and will be considered when yield report is generated.

QAQC

  • Captures the sample size, accepted and rejected quantities.

  • NCAR.

  • MRB.

  • MRB Approval.

Integration with Barcode/RFID/Production Machines

  • Higher level of automation in MES.

  • More effective inventory control/tracking.

  • Automated job tracking.

  • For eg: Each job order could be linked to a unique barcode such that user has to scan the barcode to start the job, and scan again to complete it. This will prevent any manipulation of data. Any integration to production machines is also possible so that there will be automatic update of produced quantity. Once again, preventing any data manipulation.
