Business Challenges

TDSP has been using a four-year-old Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system built on

software from the US . As the company has plans to move their sales online, TDSP

needed a web enabled system to replace its existing ERP system which is non web-based.

 

 

Solution

TDSP was introduced to Synergix Technologies’ ERP solution, TaskHub™. TaskHub™ is a

total business solution that incorporates business process management into an ERP

solution, and it is one of the first web-enabled tier 2 ERP solutions to run on a J2EE

environment.

 

The solution is built on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) – an award winning core

Java 2 Enterprise Edition technology with Web services based configurations. TaskHub™

and WAS was an ideal match to TDSP’s requirements.

 

TaskHub™ manages and simplifies the business process. Every time the TDSP’s

salespeople make a sale, they need to enter the details into the system once. The delivery

order and invoice are automatically prepared and the ledger and inventory is

automatically updated. This minimises the need for data entry and manual administration,

allowing the staff of TDSP to concentrate on revenue generating activities.

 

 

Implementation, Training and Benefits

Two months was all the time it took for the TDSP staff to be trained and comfortable with

the user-friendly system.

 

Currently in the fifth month of implementation, TDSP’s business process operations is

faster by almost 20%. This translates to considerable cost savings.

 

TDSP is particularly happy about the easy sharing of information that the system

encourages. Reports are easily available and the information within General Ledgers can

be easily exported.
